Accessibility Statement for Reeds
Last updated: 13 October 2025
Commitment to accessibility
At Reeds, we are committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to comply with the spirit of the UK/EU (or whichever jurisdiction applies) accessibility laws and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.
While we have not yet conducted a comprehensive accessibility audit of our own site, we endeavour to follow best practices in digital accessibility, and continuously improve.
What we have done / built in
- We strive to make all text readable, scalable, and legible.
- Users should be able to zoom up to 200 % (or more, depending on browser) without loss of content or functionality.
- We use semantic HTML (e.g. headings, landmarks, aria roles) to help assistive technologies navigate.
- We aim to provide meaningful alternative text (alt attributes) for images and non-text elements.
- We attempt to ensure sufficient color contrast for text, buttons, and interactive elements.
- Interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are intended to be operable via keyboard.
- We try to ensure navigation is consistent, predictable, and uses clear labels.
- We design forms to have associated labels and clear error messages.
- We test with various browsers, screen readers, and accessibility tools when we make changes.
Known limitations / issues
Because we have not yet performed a full, expert accessibility audit, there may be parts of the website that do not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. Some potential issues might include:
- Missing or incomplete alt text on certain images
- Some interactive elements or embedded content (e.g. third-party plugins, videos) may not yet support full keyboard or screen reader use
- Some pages may lack full semantic headings or structure
- Some color contrast issues may remain
- Some older content (e.g. legacy pages or PDFs) may not fully adapt to screen readers or be fully accessible
We are committed to identifying and resolving these issues over time.

What we plan to do to improve
Over the coming months, we will:
- Conduct a full expert accessibility audit of the website
- Fix identified issues (e.g. missing alt text, inaccessible plugins, contrast problems)
- Review and update content (and legacy content) for accessibility
- Add more accessibility testing into our development workflow
- Review third-party integrations (videos, embedded content, forms) for accessibility
- Update this accessibility statement as the site evolves
Enforcement & regulations
In [UK / your jurisdiction], accessibility of websites is governed by relevant regulations (e.g. the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 in the UK) (if applicable to your type of organisation). If you raise a complaint with us that is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the relevant enforcement body (e.g. Equality and Human Rights Commission in the UK).
