Corrie Skips, a leading waste management company, needed a website that would not only showcase their services, but also provide an engaging and intuitive experience for users looking to book skip services. The business was not seeing any kind of consistent results from the current website, so lead generation needed to be a focus for the improvement. Alongside this, the current website had no tangible online visibility, and this was espeically low in local search.

Designing A High Impact Digital Presence For Corrie Skips
We were appointed by a Kilmarnock skip hire company, Corrie Skips, to refresh their website and turn it into a source of new local leads.
Project background: The client & their objectives
UX assessment and redesign of key pages
The work started with a thorough audit of the current website, where we found clear gaps in overall user experience, and a lack of strategic content presentation. In order to improve this, we redesigned the structure of key landing pages across the website, employing UX best practices, and including strategically placed call to action buttons featuring transactional language - linking straight to pages where users can convert.
Simplifying service selection and aiding user understanding
Service selection was another area that we needed to revise, as the existing content made it difficult for users to access exactly what they needed. We developed an easy-to-navigate, interactive skip size guide, which helps users to understand which skip size best suits their needs. This on-site asset gives users clear comparisons on the units available, making it easier for them to convert without requiring assistance.
Creating distinctive branded assets
The overall brand presence for Corrie Skips was lacking in clarity and coherence - there was nothing distinctive about the branding, minimising customer familiarity. We changed this by creating custom illustrations which served to strengthen the Corrie Skips brand, making the website visually distinct from local competitors.
CMS upgrade and organic optimisation
Finally, the website had never been optimised from an organic search point of view, making it hard for discovery customers to access the business/find its services online. We chose to build the website on Craft CMS, and this gave us an SEO-friendly structure, where we’d be able to use optimised copy and meta data to target high-volume searches, attracting more organic traffic. This new CMS provided the ideal foundation for Corrie Skips’ website, offering the flexibility needed for custom functionality, streamlined content management, and scalability as the business grows.
Project outcome: What we achieve for the client
The Corrie Skips website redesign that we researched, planned, and implemented gave our clients what they needed from their digital presence. We transformed the business’ customer experience, making skip selection and booking easier than ever, while also giving the brand a clearer identity.
The final result is a website that not only captures brand essence, but also converts traffic into meaningful inquiries. The clients were happy that the project has supported them in their mission to become a go-to choice in waste management solutions in Kilmarnock and the surrounding area.
