Hugh Crane approached us to design and print their corporate brochure. Starting from scratch, we worked closely with the Hugh Crane marketing team to understand their needs and what they hoped to achieve with their new brochure. From chats and discussions, we formed a brief to work from to enable us to deliver what the customer was looking for – a high-end corporate brochure to showcase all they have to offer their customers.
Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment) Ltd Corporate Brochure
Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment) Ltd are one of the leading suppliers of industrial and commercial cleaning equipment. Established in 1983 the business operates across three purpose-built sites, employing more than 70 staff. With a diverse range of customers, the company supplies bespoke equipment to a large number of sectors, including food processing, agriculture, military, manufacturing, engineering, and the leisure and service industries.
The Challenge
What We Did
By understanding the customer’s requirements, our designer, Victoria Bushby developed a design concept for the brochure. We expanded on their existing brand to create consistency throughout the brochure, and for any future print – folders, flyers, product guides, departmental brochures, etc.
To ensure a professional finish to the brochures, we printed them with a soft touch laminate on the outer covers and applied a spot UV coating to the company logo and water drops for a glossy, premium finish. The inner pages were printed on paper stock with a soft feel coating to mimic the texture of the covers, ensuring a consistent feel throughout the brochure. This resulted in a final printed product that is of high quality and has a luxurious feel.
The brochure was also printed on paper sourced via our carbon-captured scheme, in partnership with The Woodland Trust. This scheme is supported by a levy paid by Reeds when acquiring paper for printing purposes. The funds generated from this levy are then channeled to the Woodland Trust, which uses them to finance the planting of native deciduous woodland trees across Britain. By opting for this eco-friendly printing method, we not only contribute to a greener future but also assist our clients in achieving their sustainability objectives, benefitting the environment and both our company and our valued clients.
The Outcome
A quality corporate brochure was crafted using sustainably sourced paper. Featuring a clean design with concise typography, this thoughtful layout, complemented by striking photography, effectively presents Hugh Crane's offerings to its customers. This design will serve as a foundational template for future publications.
