Pioneering a Greener Future: The Journey from Print to Delivery with Theatre by the Lake
At Reeds, we take great pride in building long-lasting relationships with our clients. Our collaboration with Theatre by the Lake has spanned over a decade. Situated right next to the natural beauty of Derwent Water in the Lake District, the theatre welcomes visitors from near and far, serving as a creative hub for Cumbria and beyond.
Over the years, we've had the privilege of producing an array of marketing materials, including printed brochures, posters, banners, wall vinyls, and window graphics for Theatre by the Lake. However, our partnership goes beyond delivering high-quality materials; it's grounded in a shared commitment to work in a more sustainable manor.
One of the cornerstones of our sustainable approach is the paper we use, sourced through the Woodland Trust Carbon Capture scheme. This initiative allows us to offset the carbon footprint of our paper production by funding the planting of native UK woodland trees. Since 2015, we've been proud to contribute to the planting of over 42,000 metres squared of these trees, effectively capturing over 1698 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. This not only benefits the environment by contributing to cleaner air but also aligns with our mission to help our clients, like Theatre by the Lake, achieve their own sustainability goals.
Our commitment to sustainability extends to our signage department, where we create banners, posters, and various large-format materials tailored to the unique needs of Theatre by the Lake. These materials are produced using PVC-free and recycled materials and are printed using water-based ink. This not only ensures vibrant, high-quality results but also reduces the ecological footprint of our printing processes.
When it comes to delivering our printed materials to Theatre by the Lake, we do so with the environment in mind. Powered by our 100% electric van, we ensure that the journey from our facility in Penrith to Keswick is as green as possible.
Our video captures our partnership and sustainable journey with Theatre by the Lake, one that encompasses everything from the sourcing of materials to the final delivery, proving that creativity and eco-consciousness go hand in hand. We're excited to continue this journey, working with clients who share our vision for a greener, more sustainable future.
